I am not able to use my lightning camera adapter with my iPad 6th gen running 17.6.1

My old, large, Ipad Pro 1st (16.7.8) and Lightning camera adapter, works fine with my Ipad/PC dual audio/midi interface music setup. Only took me a couple days to figure it all out, lol.

Then, I thought I would simply switch the Lightning camera adapter over to my unused, smaller Ipad 6th. It auto updated to the current 17.6.1 ios.

I just learned that the update killed the Lightning camera adapter, and makes my smaller ipad useless for my audio/midi interfaces. And I can't go back to ver. 16.

Why did Apple mess it up? Is there going to be a fix?

Sigh,

Old and frustrated.

I too have a Lightning to USB3 Camera Adapter (Model Number A1619) - and it functions perfectly with iOS/iPadOS 17.6.1. The Adapter itself has firmware version 1.0.5:

Settings > General > About > Apple USB Camera Adapter > Firmware Version

If you are experiencing difficulties post-update to iPadOS 17.6.1, either the Adapter itself has not automatically updated to its most recent firmware, the Adapter has a fault, or you have some other issue.

Remember, the Adapter must be connected to external power, via its own Lightning pass-through power connection, for the majority of connected USB devices.

Hi:

I am using a USB camera adapter made by Suntrsi, which works on my old Ipad.

It turns out that on my iPad six generation with a 17.6.1 version, the MIDI and the power both work. BUT, there is no Audio out to my interfaces.

are you actually getting the digital audio out of your connector, where is that some thing you haven’t used?

thank you for any feedback.
