Air Tag Battery Replacement

I have recently tried replacing batteries on some Air Tags. I learned that the batteries used must not possess a childproof protective coating, so I finally purchased these items from a specialty store. I used the same replacement battery in each Air Tag. Three out of five of these replacement batteries successfully worked to reactivate the Air Tags. However, the remaining replacement batteries did not work in the other air tags? I am soliciting feedback to learn if other Air Tag owners are experiencing similar challenges. I have already replaced these Air Tags with new ones, but I wonder if there are any other options? Thank you
