Apple air tag battery issues

Hi. Successfully replaced the batteries in 3 of 4 tags. Cannot seem to get 4th tag to work. Battery showing as weak. I’ve tried replacing the battery twice with new batteries. Using energizer battery that does not have bitter coating. Any suggestions to get it to work?

First, I suggest that you check the battery contacts inside the AirTag—make sure they’re clean and not bent or corroded. Sometimes even a small bit of debris or slight misalignment can cause a weak connection, leading to the "battery weak" warning despite a fresh battery. Give the contacts a gentle clean with a soft cloth or a dab of rubbing alcohol.

Second, if cleaning doesn’t resolve the issue, try using a different brand of CR2032 battery. Occasionally, specific batteries can have compatibility quirks with certain AirTags. It’s also a good idea to remove and reinsert the battery a couple of times to ensure it's seating correctly

Finally, if neither of those helps, you last step would be to contact Apple Support directly for further assistance with this issue. To do so, simply select the "Support" link on the lower left-hand side of this forum's web page.
