iPhone 14 Pro Max Warranty Voided because of micro scratch?
My iPhone 14 Pro Max suddenly stopped responded to all touch input. Screen turns on and looks perfectly normal, I’m able to still use AirPods to control playback and FaceID works as well. However, the touch screen is 100% unresponsive. I took my device in to get it fixed assuming it had to be a manufacturer defect as I had only had the phone for a few months however I was told it was out of warranty due to scratches on the front glass.
The scratches are hardly noticeable and look like the result of rubbing against things in my pocket. These weren’t cracks, they are minor scratches that are only noticeable when the screen is completely dark.
My question is to know if this is genuinely how the warranty works or did I just get bad service?
