Unless you purchased the music directly from the iTunes Store, you would load it into the iTunes or Music library on a Mac or PC, then do a manual sync (using iTunes or Finder) from the computer to the iPhone.
Have you done that already?
That is – is your problem that you never got the music onto your phone, or that it didn't play once you got it there?

Well after being on chat with apple for over 40 minutes the scheduled a call which failed.... I just want to play my music.
