I'm unable to connect my AirPods to my Nano 7th Gen?

Do you actually mean EarPods? AirPods are Bluetooth headphones and don't get connected by any cable. The Nano 7th gen does support Bluetooth.

It would probably be cheaper to buy a new set of headphones with the correct end rather than to try to find a dongle. The dongle are always a weak point.

But I think the OP was actually talking about EarPods. They mentioned a 3.5 jack, cables, and adapters. Or they're trying to connect AirPods using a cable?

The 7th generation iPod Nano does not have Bluetooth capability. As such, you will not be able to use it with the Apple AirPods.

The specs indicate that it does support BT. I think it was the only one that did.
