Sony camera to Mac via USB
I used my Sony a6100 as a 4k webcam for a couple of years using a HDMI -> USB converter. This has been working OK (not perfect), and today, it gave up totally. The camera has a USB output, and Sony has a utility (or driver, maybe) they call Image Edge to capture the stream from the camera. I had this working a couple of years ago when the camera was new, but the Sony software was unstable.
I'm now following the instructions verbatim to get the camera -> USB -> Image Edge -> Mac (for Zoom and other software) to work. And it does not. I can only assume there is some Mac privacy setting that prevents Image Edge from connecting to the Mac. When the latest version of Image Edge is installed, it asks me to allow it to connect under Privacy & Security, which I have done. Yet, the camera does not connect. Does anybody know if there are other places in System Settings that may affect this?
