Why is my iPhone 7 Plus only showing 32GB of Storage?

Hello, i recently switched from a 6s Plus to a 7 Plus. On my 7 its only given me 32 GBs of storage, this isnt enough so i cant access my apps. I have looked it up and google says over 200+ GBs of storage is accessible. I do not know how to access this, ive check the entire settings app and looked it up multiple times. This is just about IPHONE storage and NOT Icloud.

Storage space is built in to the device at the time of manufacturing and cannot changed afterward.

Did you not verify how much storage the iPhone 7 had before you switched?

You cannot change the physical storage on a device. If you need more than 32GB, then you need a different iPhone that has more storage. iPhone 7 models came with different capacities: 32GB, 128GB and 256GB.

Pay attention to the storage capacity when you buy or obtain another iPhone.

The 200GBs of storage refers to iCloud storage which has no effect on the device's local capacity.

I don't know what you looked up.

Maybe you looked up a review that indicated how much space was available on the 256 GB variant of the iPhone 7, after the overhead for iOS and its bundled apps. I can easily believe that a 256 GB phone would have 200+ GB free "out of the box." That wouldn't mean that a 32 GB variant of the same phone would.

Maybe you looked up how much storage space you have in Google's cloud. I believe that Google provides 15 GB for free, but that it is possible to rent more. If Google told you that you had 200+ GB of Google cloud storage free, that would not automatically imply that you had 200+ GB of device storage.

32GB iPhone:

By today's standards, you're not going to store much on a 32BG iPhone. An Apple TV movie is 2-4GB is size. Keep in mind that there are system files as well. So, is this a 32GB phone? Or is 32GB all there is left after the transfer?

About Clearing Space:

A. Clean TV and Music Libraries:

Remove all unneeded files from your TV and Music Libraries. Full-Movies take up 2-4GB typically, and a bunch of those would take up a load of storage, ideally. So, if you have any movies that are not needed, then delete them.

B. Clear Temporary Internet Files:

C. Clear "Other":

Clear the storages named "Other". It basically contains unnecessary files such as caches that are used for system ease of use - all of which gather over time: How to Clear "Other" in your iPhone's Storage - Use Backup - User Tips
