OS 12.7.6 upgrade messed with my keyboard and mouse connections
I upgraded my 2017 iMac to macOS Monterey 12.7.6 two days ago. Was an incremental upgrade only.
In any case, ever since then when my the machine goes to sleep, I can no longer wake it up with either a keystroke or a mouse click. The only thing that makes the screen come alive is to hit the power button. Even then, the machine does not respond to either mouse clicks or keystrokes. The only way to get back to normal function is to force a shutdown.
This is truly bizarre behavior to say the least. I am using an Apple Magic Keyboard and Logitech MX Master 2S mouse, and I have been in this configuration for a couple of years at least.
I am not sure what the solution is, but I have executed the caffeinate command and in the Energy Saver prefs plane I have checked the box "Prevent your Mac from automatically sleeping when the display is off."
Any suggestions for a real fix welcomed.
Thanks
