weird message from apple pay?

my phone got stolen about a month ago and I just got a text that my Apple Pay is trying to be used in China. I am not usually one to fall for the scams but because my old phone has all my information on it and last time I checked it was 800 miles away, it could’ve possibly been in China by now. plz let me know if i should erase my old phone or it’s a scam. all my old photos are on that phone so i don’t want to erase it unless i have to

The message is a scam attempt. Do not interact with the message or the sender.

Is it marked as lost? If it is, you’re fine. Removing from Find My will them to activate the device and then sell it. As it is now. It’s locked, can’t be activated and your cards in Apple Wallet have been removed.
