True Tone doesn’t work after display replacement

Hello, I recently replaced the display on my MacBook Pro m1, I let someone change it, with an original display from another MacBook Pro m1. Now True Tone doesn’t work anymore, he‘s telling me that it needs to be recoded, but the display is original, is it possible that the display is original, and if so how can I fix it, I don’t get any issues diagnosed and I calibrated the display.

MacBook Pro 13″, macOS 15.0

Some parts are paired while other parts need to be calibrated.....some may even need both. Unfortunately only Apple has this ability at this time and only when an official repair has been performed by Apple, an AASP, or through the Apple Self Repair Program. Unfortunately Apple really doesn't like the Right to Repair movement and only provides the limited Self Repair Program to look like they are complying & getting ahead of government regulation in order to minimize legislation forcing any rules on them. What you want is not something Apple wants since they no longer have control.

If you want a computer that can be repaired by independent techs, then you should purchase one of those brands. There are a few OEMs out there who have been supplying service guides and parts for years.
