Mirroring Works, But Sidecar doesn't (pictures provided)

I just purchased a macbook air m2, and an ipad air m2 (11 inch) as well. Both of them are updated to the latest updates and all requirements for the sidecar are present. When it comes to my macbook air, my ipad shows up in finder and the usb-c cable works fine because the ipad charges. However, when it comes to the display and the mirroring, my ipad does not show up at all in the command center or in the display settings.

Also, I heard universal control is supposed to allow my cursor to move to the Ipad's screen. That also isn't happening. The settings are on for it though:

No plus sign is there. Again, I am signed in to the same Apple ID. Both are individually connected to the same wifi. Handoff is on. Everything on the website mentions for sidecar requirements is done, finnito, and finished.

The kicker is that on my ipad, the macbook shows up and the mirror works fine.

I also airdropped the above picture from my ipad to my computer...

I tried holding down options in the display settings and pressing that detect displays thing, but nothing shows up. The USB-C thing also doesn't do anything for sidecar, but it charges the ipad. So, I tried everything I could, and I need help now lol.

I bought these things for school and need that sidecar to work hopefully.

Thank you in advance!

Might also want to make sure you're not using two features that are at odds with each other.

For instance, I doubt if doing AirPlay from the iPad to the Mac (with the Mac acting as an AirPlay Receiver) is compatible with doing Sidecar from the Mac to the iPad at the same time. Presumably for these two features, you can use at most one at a time.
