HomePod Sensors stuck in "Calibrating"

This is a long standing issue that goes back multiple versions of tvOS on HomePods. I'm creating this NEW post to gauge its scale. If you are impacted by this issue please click the "Me Too" button and I'll update my Feedback Assistant ticket with that data in hopes it finds an engaged competent employee that can fix the problem.

I suspect since it's been around for multiple versions of tvOS for HomePod it will remain after iOS 18 and I want to draw attention to this glitch.

HomePod temperature sensors do not work as you'd expect. I can't not use them in automation because the won't trigger anything and their update cycle is slow.

I have two new HomePods in a stereo pair, NOT connected to an AppleTV.

They often go into "Calibrating" requiring a full reset to resolve. Since I don't use them I don't bother, but I paid for this feature to work and thus I'm drawing attention to this bug in hopes they fix it.
