Pencil isn’t discoverable in Bluetooth

I bought a new iPad Pro to replace my older iPad Pro and my Gen2 pencil will not show up under the Bluetooth list of devices on my new iPad. I’ve tried “forgetting”, shutting off, leaving old iPad at work, Googling, restarting… everything possible and my pencil still won’t connect.

If you can't pair Apple Pencil with your iPad - Apple Support


If it doesn't work try resetting your settings. Be ready to redo your wallpaper and general settings. This will not affect Photos, Notes, etc.
