Using MacBook Pro as External Display

Is there a way to use a MacBook Pro as an external (second) display for a 27" iMac? I know I can go from the MacBook Pro to the iMac and use the iMac as an external (second) display for the MacBook Pro, but is there a way to reverse it and use the MacBook Pro as the external display?
