Can I get OTP send to my US phone number on to my new SIM in Europe using Messages?

The scenario is I have an iPhone 13 Pro Max with Xfinity service in the US. I got to Europe and get a European eSIM because Xfinity charges $10 per day and the eSIM is much cheaper. Will a bank or similar be able to send me a one-time-passcode to my US phone # and will I get that code through iMessage? If not, how else can I get the one-time passcode? THANKS

SMS is a phone carrier feature, you'll need to ask Xfinity or the European carrier.
