Changing the Home Screen color background on Apple TV 4K (2021)

I found an old, closed thread about the background color on the Apple TV 2021 4K model which shows the same problem I'm having with the latest version a apparent fixed color screen (following recent auto update to TV OS 17.6) to background coloring which changes from day to day between solid graded colors of the Home Screen. It used to be a semi-transparent gray color on all old and new Apple TV's in my house all the same.

Referencing the same , previously quoted article from Apple Support

Apple article only mention Light and Dark modes available. However, clearly there are also (hidden/unavailable?) background color settingss. I can toggle it to the transparent Gray color by switching the Light/Dark settings once, but cannot control the further appearance of specific color backgrounds.

Is this a glitch/bug/anomaly common to the model of ATV or common to the version of TV OS? Hardware/software issue? NB, the older models of ATV (non-4K) do not exhibit this issue. After getting rid of the color background (toggling) I cannot get back to the color BG anymore. Stays on grays semi-transparent.

Surely there has to be some selection somewhere?

The Home Screen background can show a super blurred static copy of the current/last shown screen saver.

The setting for this is in: Settings﹥Accessibility﹥Display﹥[ᴄᴏɴᴛʀᴀsᴛ] Reduce Transparency﹥Off

(Unfortunately they use a negative for description, so Off turns on the transparency.)

Thanks for the hint!

The default was a gradient color BG that changed color frequently. Yet somehow it was later replaced by the blurry semi-transparent image you mention. The settings (including this BG) seems to have been shared to multiple devices, attached to the same network.

Still not sure how this all works, but toggling the settings sharing option changed the BG as well some time after an OS auto update. Without manual interference the fuzzy BG returned to the way it was before the update on ALL three ATV devices. Now, I know (hopefully) how to control it.

Will try and advise if it shares to all the units (of varying vintages, but all using the latest OS).
