How to select ipv4 on iPad Pro to use Disney +

Hi everybody. I have an iPad Pro updated to IOS17.6.1

a couple of weeks ago I could watch Disney plus on this iPad. I have recently changed the router to a more modern one and suddenly Disney plus does not work anymore. The folks at Disney have told me that the App can only work with IPv4; the new router provides both IPv6 and IPv 4. Everything else is working well in the house and so is the iPad. Netflix is working; the only App not working is Disney plus;

is there a way to select IPv4 on the iPad only for Disney?. I can see the address of both IPv6 and IPv 4 on the Wifi parameters but do not know what to do?. Thanks for any idea, proposal? Cheers; Patou

While IPv4 and associated addressing is still used, this is steadily being replaced by modern iPv6.

While avoiding the technical detail of how IPv6 addressing works, suffice to say that your iPad will automatically self-assign an IPv6 address when connected to networks that support IPv6 - and will receive additional IPv6 addresses from the network (i.e., your Router) using Stateless and/or Stateful addressing.

For iOS/iPadOS, the only control that you have over IPv6 address allocation is through your router's own settings - assuming that your router, provided by your ISP (Internet Service Provider), offers any facility to do so. You will need to check your Router's User Guide, or your ISPs online technical resources.
