Help, wrongly chosen "other" when connected an audio device using usb-c adapter

I have a device that uses the audio jack, I got the usb-c to 3.5mm audio jack adapter to connect the device, when I connected it, the OS asked if if was a headphone or other device, I wrongly chose "other" is there any way to switch it to headphones?

I did an experiment with an iPhone with the lightning to 3.5mm audio jack and selected headphones and the device works perfectly.

I already tried to forget all usb accessories from sound & haptics, but the OS is not asking for the type of device.

I also did the reset all the settings from the iPad, but no luck.

Has somebody faced an issue similar?

iPhone 15, iOS 17
