Here are some tips Apple and I recommend for maximizing your battery performance for the Apple Watch:
- You can turn off Wake Screen on your Apple Watch so your Watch wont keep turning on every time you raise your wrist, which can gradually drain battery. To prevent Apple Watch display from turning on with wrist raise, open Settings, select General, and turn off Wake Screen on Wrist Raise on your Watch.

- This one is my tip, you can turn off Background App Refresh to preserve your battery. When you wear your Watch, in the background your Watch will refresh apps throughout the day. This can be very battery consuming, by turning it off will just refresh it when you open the app. Go to Settings > General > Background App Refresh > Turn it off
- You can turn on Low Power Mode in general to preserve your battery. This will turn off some small features such as background heart rate measurements, background blood oxygen, etc. As you mentioned you didn’t need the small features.
