Calendar notifications - sometimes the watch notifies, sometimes the phone sound or vibrates, and sometimes nothing notifies. It seems to be random and does it for a short time maybe a day or more, then starts working again. This has been the same exact problem since my iPhone 6, my iPhone 8m XR, and now my 14 and two Apple watches. So is not an OS issue, a phone or watch hardware issue - so what is left?

Clear you Notification History:
will do & let you know as it is intermittent, will have to see over a time period
I did as you said, I got the watch to ping me once so far.
Seems this would not be the problem as I do not believe the notification center existed back in iPhone 6 days or it was a lot different?

Notification Center on iPhone 6:
The Notification Center started with iOS 5. The iPhone 6 was released with iOS 8.0. So, YES. It did exist back in the days of iPhone 6.
