OSX Ventura ejects external hard drive mid backup

This is def a software issue. Running OSX 13.6.7 Ventura on my home Macbook pro M1 Max as well as on another iMac in office. Since updates my back hard drives, be it a 5TB lacie USBC, or my OWC Mercury elite or OWC Gemini Thunderbolt 3, get ejected mid back up over night. It appears that after some time the computer goes to sleep and power is cut causing the drive to improperly eject which will lead them eventually to damage of data corruption. Very frustrating. This never happened to me in the past 20 years as a mac user backing to external drives. I'm reading others have had had that problem, can some one please help with a remedy other than buy a new computer and use cloud

MacBook Pro 16″, macOS 13.6

The silicon Macs have had a problem with unjointing external drives during or after sleep. Until a fix is found the workaround seems to be shut down at night (the reboot time is short so shouldn't be an inconvenience) and don't sleep the Mac during the day but just use the screensaver.

Rebooting each day helps clear out temporary system and application cache and swap files, which if damaged or corrupted, can cause performance issues.
