Multicam Clip new Angle Rejects the clip I want to add

Hi,

I have a Multicam Clip of one hour and a half with 3 video angles (4K footage) and 2 audio angles (24bits48Kz).

This Multicam Clip is already in use in a Project (and its duplicate backups).

I created a new empty angle and I want to add a video clip (a copy of the clip I have in Angle 1 to have the option of the clip without stabilisation if it matters).

When I try to drag the clip on the angle, it stops thinking for a while and then rejects the clip and keep empty.

It does the same whether this is the Monitor Angle for audio and video or not.

I have a MacBook Pro M1 16GB. Checked Activity Monitor for Memory and the graphs for memory or cpu doesn't show any alarming signs... Anyway It stops thinking for a while before rejecting the clip...

Any idea what can be the problem?

I had the same problem with the second Audio Angle and after many tries and reboots it finally accepted.

I have no idea what can be the problem... Any help would be welcome.

Thanks!

Hi Ben,

Thanks for your help.

I made a copy of the Multicam and a copy of the clip, create the new angle and dragged it there, and it worked(?).

Both, just dragging, or dragging with the Option Key, and it worked fine now... (?).

What is the Option Key for?

You know if is there a way to replace my previous Multicam with this new Multicam Copy in my Project so that I don't loose one hour and a half of edited concert?

Many thanks,

Luis Costa
