What cables are needed to connect a 2020 13" MacBookPro to a Samsung model S27D360H?

The use of an HDMI connection is advised with this monitor. The RGB connectors are probably analog for this 2014 monitor. Just go all digital for best results.

Please describe. Is that a third party add-on? Does it connect to a Thunderbolt port on the Mac? Does it have HDMI-out?


Else you may need to use a ‘Thunderbolt (“USB-C”) to HDMI’ adapter.

Apple sells these, but third party adapters should work fine too.

Note that adapters have an HDMI specification (1.0/1.1/1.2/1.3/1.4/2.0/2.1), but for a 1080p monitor, version 1.4 would suffice. You may need the right HDCP version (1.4 or later) to display commercial video content.
