Why was I charged for the Apple Pencil Instead of the iPad with Student Discount?

I bought an iPad Air with student discount in Czechia,and was supposed to get a free apple pencil. However when I looked at my bank account, Apple charged me just for the pencil (3490 Kc),but not the iPad. How is this possible?

Apple charges for the pencil separately and reduces the price of the iPad by that amount (which is the same total price as an iPad and a free pencil).

The Pencil may have shipped earlier than the iPad (if you had them shipped) so that charge was processed earlier by the bank.
