If this is your sole computer you may want to wait for the production release unless you have space on your drive to dual boot. Keep in mind it s a beta and it can possibly break any critical software or in ways just make it unreliable (Apple warns you of this possibility in their acceptance of joining the beta as to not to use a mission critical machine).

If you are still want to try it, be sure you have a full backup of your machine and a USB installer for your current macOS because if you need to return to the current macOS you will need to wipe your drive, re-install the current macOS and then restore your data and apps.

It is never a good idea to install a beta operating system on other than a non essential test-only computer.

If your MacBook Air is a 'spare' machine that you don't need to rely on for anything, sure. Go for it. Otherwise, no. Don't do it.

Install betas if you want to be a "lab rat" or "guinea pig."
