Iphone 13: Green screen and non-responsive

Hi,

Two years ago I got an Iphone 13 as a gift. I have maintained it well, except for some unexpected drops. It was working really well until a few months ago when all of a sudden the screen went green and did not respond. I tried force restarting it as suggested on their website, but nothing seems to be working. It might be because of the software update I did prior to the issue. I am contemplating taking it to a repair shop but it could be expensive and I don't have an extended warranty on my device. Will apple cover the costs if its a software issue? I would appreciate any advice on anything that has worked for someone. Thank you.
