Apple One + Icloud + 6 TB - If you change to a new plan, it will replace your current Icloud+ plan

I currently have Apple One Family 2TB plan. We are almost out of storage. Apple says it's easy to upgrade and to just add more icloud+ storage but, when I go to switch to Icloud+ 6TB plan from the 2TB - it tells me that my current plan - which is part of my apple one subscription - will be cancelled.

It may just be a matter of semantics, but this appears to say that my Apple One Fam plan will (also) go away if switch from the 2 TB plan to the 6TB plan. Looking for reassurance that this change won't mess with my Apple One Fam Plan. Thanks!

hi. Thank you for your reply. I have the instructions and I walked through the steps. My concern is that it says it’s going to replace my current plan and I’m concerned about it deleting Apple one since you can’t get one family with more than 2 TB. However, all the support material said you can just add the 6 TB plan to the Apple one plan and it ends up being two separate plans working together. But the message when you go to confirm the purchase suggest that one will replace the other. I need to maintain Apple one family in addition to the 6 TB.

That honestly sounds like a question you should ask Apple directly. You can use the support link at the bottom left of every page of this forum.
