Just about every day, my Fox News app freezes on my Apple SE cell phone. This started earlier this year. It never happens on other news sites. I have 32 Gigabytes of available memory so that is not an issue.

If a Media App Freezes:
A. Too Much Network Traffic:
With lots of current events going on at the moment, data traffic may have been way up there. Broadband can only handle so much.
B. Restart your iPhone:
It is always wise to restart your device after installing an update. So, perform a restart, first: Restart your iPhone - Apple Support
C. Disable a VPN: Are you using a VPN? If so, disble it. VPNs change you location (by changing your IP Address). So, too much may be being put on the app.
Check for any app updates and contact the app developer.
