iCloud restore incomplete without all apps, Home Screen layout, and all email accounts
I’ve had iCloud backup for years for my family’s many iPhones, iPads, and MacBooks. Yesterday, my iPhone 15 was stolen (no expectation of getting it back).
Today I bought the exact same iPhone model at the Verizon store, with the store’s tech doing everything except he had me type my Apple ID/password into the new iPhone when the tech asked me too. Within an hour or so, my iCloud email and my thousands of photos were on the new iPhone. The Verizon guy had said it would take hours for the new iPhone to automatically install all my apps (with data), arrange my Home Screen icons, and put my four additional email accounts on the new phone. It’s been 8+ hours (with 5 hours undisturbed, powered on, locked and presumably finishing the restore), but no apps have installed, and the iCloud email is still the only email account of the phone. Now I suspect the tech did not choose to restore the correct iCloud backup. But I don’t know what he did. I’ve never attempted a restore from iCloud. Every other iPhone upgrade, I’ve done was by Bluetooth with the previous and replacement iPhones right next to each other.
Are my expectations accurate?
How can I get my previous iPhone’s iCloud backup with all apps, Home Screen layout, and all email accounts onto this new iPhone?
