I recently bought a new iPhone, and transferred everything from the old one. I waited until all apps were downloaded and made sure notifications were set to true because I need some for work (PagerDuty, Slack, etc). However, I got no notifications.
To confirm that I should be getting them I placed both phones (old, new) on the same WiFi and watched as slack got notifications in old phone but not new.
The solution that worked for me:
uninstall the apps from Old phone. Possibly some apps like slack send notifications to the first associated app, but not to any numerous others. To get slack (and many other) app notifications I had to delete apps from old phone to get them on new phone. Seems like faceID is also sometimes similar, I can’t have faceID with chase on both old and new phone, one face per one account. (One notification receiving device as well.)
