Today I accidentally dropped my MacBook Air M1 with its case on when it was open. The left bottom corner of the screen now has a bend in it. Has anyone else experienced this and had problems due to it? Everything is still working fine right now, so I’m thinking maybe it’s just cosmetic damage.

If everything is working, then consider yourself lucky. The damage is merely cosmetic.
Battle scars make a Mac exclusively yours. If you were to have Apple repair it, they would replace the entire screen assembly at considerable expense, and likely not economically justifiable.

It doesn't look like the Display is fully closing now which could be a problem. The immediate issue is that the laptop won't sleep or stay powered off if the Display Assembly won't stay fully closed. The other potential issue is the LCD Panel and/or glass may crack if the Display is forced close, plus it is more likely something will get stuck between the display & keyboard when carrying the laptop.
