Offloading WhatsApp

What does offloading WhatsApp mean. Will it delete all my messages and photos on it or will they stay there

Offloading will delete the app’s software, but keep the app’s documents and data. For example, if you offload a messaging app, the messaging app itself will be deleted to save storage, but messages will be kept because they are separate from the software. You can set your device to automatically offload unused apps, and all offloaded apps can be reinstalled as long as the app is still available in the App Store.
