iPhone Wi-Fi issues after iOS 17.6.1 update

As soon as I downloaded and installed the latest update (ios 17.6.1) on my iphone 14 I was no longer able to connect to wifi. After a few days of searching and trying things like resetting my wifi, restarting the phone, resetting the network settings…nothing worked. My phone showed i was connected to wifi, but the wifi symbol wasn’t on the top right corner, and i was clearly using cellular data and not wifi. I was about to break down and try anfull factory reset when i noticed that the “VPN and Device Management”setting under General Settings was flickering on and off repeatedly….so i turned off VON which should jot be on as I do not have/use a VPN… and that fixed the issue…Ininstantly connected to wifi!!!!’ Halleluia!!!!

I am having the same issue. My iPhone 15 pro max will not stay connected to the wifi. This is ridiculous

My 13 Pro is not able to connect to the WiFi either since downloading the 17.6.1 software. I reset the network settings still didn’t connect. I erased all data and settings and restored to a previous backup before the update and I could connect. Then I restored to the backup since the update and couldn’t connect again so it’s definitely the update that’s preventing me from connecting to WiFi. All other devices in my home are connected just fine. The VPN button is glitching off and on saying connecting then disconnecting. Lastly the WiFi symbol is not appearing at the top of the screen like it does when connected.

I cannot thank you enough for this. My phone completely stopped connecting to wifi and normal data for 3 days. At the Apple Store they said it was a build it problem and need to "replace some parts" charging me 900 euros. I literally googled for 7 hours until I found your comment. And it worked. Thank you SO MUCH!!!

It's ridiculous, the entire thing, for a 2k Euros phone.
