How can I hide my real MAC address to my iPhone when using my usb personal hotspot like you can when on wifi
Ok so when on a wireless network, once connected you can click the I with a circle around it and select private WiFi address by toggling the switch. This will ultimately do what called spoofing your MAC address for you WiFi adapter that connects to the network.
my question is why does that only apply to the WiFi connection? Why don’t we have that option, or at least a manual way to configure it for the USB Personal HotSpot connection.
The question originated from the fact that I like to use Linux tails OS when I browse the web. It has a built in feature that’s supposed to do that for you. However when I connect via usb personal hotspot connection from my iPhone it shows up in Linux as Eth1 connection and is not only in-spoofed but when I tried to manually spoof it I received an error stating I did not have the appropriate access to preform the manual spoof. That can only mean it has to be the iPhone because as Linux Live boot OS’s are written the user can have complete control over everything on the OS.
Can someone please advise??!!
