Battery Drain Issue on iPhone 15 pro

Hello Apple Community,

I recently purchased the iPhone 15 Pro and have encountered a significant issue with the battery performance. On the first day of use, I noticed that the battery level dropped rapidly from 80% to 20% in just two hours. This has been concerning, especially considering the expectations for the latest model.

I wanted to bring this to the attention of the community and see if others are experiencing similar issues. While I understand that new devices may require a few charge cycles to optimize battery performance, this level of drain seems excessive. I am quite disappointed with this aspect of the device so far.

Looking ahead, I sincerely hope that Apple takes this into consideration and ensures that the iPhone 16 Pro comes with improved battery efficiency, so future users won’t face similar frustrations.

I would appreciate any advice or insights from others who might have experienced this or know of any potential solutions. Thank you in advance for your support.

The rate at which your battery drains is dependent on many different things like your usage, background activity, low cell service areas, and much more.

To view what is consuming all your power, navigate to Settings > Battery

Here, you will be shown a detailed list of what applications are using how much of your battery everyday.

I just got a 15 Pro. 100% charged overnight to wake up with 54% battery. There is only one app installed, Kohls which isn’t doing this. I had turned off the bloody screen always on and the battery the next day was at 65%.

looking at the % of usage by app shows Siri as the number one application eating up the battery. I NEVER use Siri and I’ve never used it since getting this phone.

The second most used was the Home Screen.

This phone is for my wife who doesn’t do email, doesn’t download apps, doesn’t play music. It’s a dam expensive phone that she wants to take pictures with.

I’ve turned off background apps updating, again so we’ll see if anything improves but having using IPhones for years I doubt that I’ve missed a setting.
