Printing Issue - Successive printing hangs up often and badly

I have a 2023, 15", MacBook Air M2 running Ventura 13.4

When I print, and then want to print again right after, the print interface stalls or hangs. This happens most of the time. Often for a frustrating length of time.

I don't think I ever experienced until I got this MacBook last year.

I don't believe I've seen it happen on the first print attempt. Only on the next one and any successive attempts.

Please let me know if you have any ideas about this.

It would help to know the printer make and exact model.

How is the printer connected?

Have you checked whether a printer firmware update has been made available?

If necessary, try resetting the printing system and re-adding the printer.
