My iPhone 14 no longer vibrates when I receive a text.

My iphone 14 all of a sudden no longer vibrates when I receive a text. If I turn on my ringer, it will vibrate when it rings but I rarely have my ringer turned on. My phone used to vibrate when I received a call as well; I could always feel it in my pocket or purse. I dont like the disturbance of a ring tone so I just dont turn mine on but now I have no choice!

Change iPhone sounds and vibrations - Apple Support (CA)

It looks likes any number of things might have been changed.

<<<<

Set sound and vibration options

    1. Go to Settings  > Sounds & Haptics.
    2. To set the volume for all sounds, drag the slider below Ringtone and Alerts.
    3. Tap Haptics, then choose the haptics behavior for ringtones and alerts—Always Play, Play in Silent Mode, Don’t Play in Silent Mode, or Never Play.
    4. Tap Ringtone or Text Tone.
    5. At the top of the Ringtone or Text Tone screen, tap Haptics, then do any of the following:
    • Choose a tone (scroll to see them all).
      • Ringtones play for incoming calls, clock alarms, and the clock timer; text tones are used for text messages, new voicemail, and other alerts.
      • Choose a vibration pattern or tap Create New Vibration to create your own.

You can also change the sounds iPhone plays for certain people. Go to Contacts

, tap a person’s name, tap Edit, then choose a ringtone and text tone.
