my AirPods charging case is sowing a blue light. I have unconnected it and reconnected it. Still blue. It has been on charge all day. Says the case is only 35% charged and the right ear 21%charged. What am I dong wrong

Real AirPods cases don't have a blue LED ever on the case. White, green and red/orange are the only possible colors…you must have bought a fake pair of AirPods.

I understand, where did you buy these AirPods from? An Apple or Apple authorized retailer? I suggest you take them into an Apple Store, where they can verify the authenticity of the AirPods.
Thank you for answering my question. I have had these a few years and they have worked really good up until yesterday. I changed my charging cord and now it is fully charged with a green light.
Let me add on a way to verify your AirPods authenticity. Turn on the noise-cancellation on your AirPods, if you don’t notice a difference, your AirPods are most likely counterfeit.
Fake AirPods can play music easily, but can they integrate Apple’s AirPods features is the question, probably not. 🤔
