Back glass replacement as authorized dealer in Sri lanka

I purchased my iPhone 15 Pro Max in Malaysia, but I am now living in Sri Lanka. The back glass and front display of my iPhone are completely broken. I reached out to an Apple authorized dealer in Sri Lanka for repair, but they informed me that they cannot repair it because the iPhone was bought in Malaysia. They also mentioned that Apple does not allow them to replace the back glass with a new wireless charging unit. Is this correct? Why are they refusing to repair my phone? Are they not responsible for repairing it as an authorized dealer in Sri Lanka?

No, they are not responsible for repairing it.

Apple’s terms clearly state that service may not be available outside of the country of original sale.

Generally speaking, if ONLY the glass is damaged, it can be replaced. If the damage is more extensive, for example the wireless charging unit you mentioned, then the entire phone has to be replaced.

Take it back to the country where it was originally sold and take it for service at an authorized provider there.
