can i have debit cards in apple pay from different banks in different countries?

I have apple pay active on my iphone13 with a french based debit card and a french based amex card. Can I add a USA based debit card to the same apple wallet?

Yes, if you meet the bank’s criteria for adding a credit or debit card to Apple Wallet. Each bank will have their own requirements. Some may require a social security number, some may accept an ITIN, you may need a state issued driver’s license or state ID. Banks generally require a permanent US address (meaning no PO Box or forwarding service) some may even require citizenship or permanent residence status. You’ll need to do the leg work because Apple doesn’t maintain a list of individual bank requirements.
