How can I recover my weekly steps post my Apple Watch update?

After an update, I lost my weekly step count. How do I get it back?

You don't. Apple removed that feature with watchOS 10. Apple has never shown much interest in steps as a health metric.


I recommend you find a third-party step-counting app with a watch version. One I've used is called StepsApp. It has complications that you can see right on the watch face and a very clean interface. But there are lots.
