Do I need a MagSafe case to use MagSafe chargers?
Does it charge with a normal case or I need a compatible MagSafe case that contains magnets….

You don’t need a MagSafe case to use MagSafe chargers, but it’s recommended as a MagSafe-approved case ensures your phone charges through the case.
Using a MagSafe-approved case also means it includes the necessary magnets and materials to support MagSafe-compatible accessories.
I would recommend you take a look at the reviews of the specific "non-MagSafe" case you want to buy as there may be others who have managed to use it with a MagSafe charger.

There are non-MagSafe cases that are thin enough for the MagSafe charger to work through them. However, they may not work as well.
It’s recommended to use a MagSafe case with your MagSafe charger however the MagSafe technology is designed to work directly with the MagSafe compatible iPhones and later models, sans case. However, the absence of a case leaves your iPhone more vulnerable to drops, bumps, and scratches. So I recommend you get a MagSafe case.
Agreed, MagSafe cases are specifically designed to hold your MagSafe accessories, non-MagSafe cases may not hold as well.
