Reconnect Photo library to MacBook Pro

A few months ago I woke up on morning and my MacBook Pro was no longer synced with anything. All my documents were gone, etc. I contacted Apple support and spent quite a lot of time with them on the phone trying to get it to work again. They weren’t really able to help me. The next morning everything was back to normal as per magic. However, my photo library is not synced to my library that I have on both my iPhone and my iPad. How do I reconnect the photo library on those devices to my MacBook Pro?

MacBook Pro 15″, macOS 14.6

Make sure that iCloud Photos is enabled on your Mac, as well as on your iPhone and iPad.

Note that if you have multiple Photos libraries on your Mac, only one of them (the "system" library) can sync with iCloud Photos. If you have a different library selected, it could be that your photos are syncing with the "system" library and that you just aren't looking at that one at the moment.
