How do I remove my brother’s Apple ID from my iPhone 12 Pro Max?

i let my brother use my iphone 12 pro max and about a month ago i asked for it back and now it says iphone locked to owner how can i get this to go away he wont sign in to his icloud to delete it off his icloud. How can I get my iPhone 12 Pro Max back working like normal it says to connect to Mac or pc but it does nothing after I do

If he won't remove his Apple ID, you'll need to take an original purchase receipt (either from Apple or an Authorized Apple Reseller) to Apple and have them do it.
