That link I provided earlier gave you a list of Kia vehicles that supported Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The Optima does not appear in that list for any model year, so I would not expect it to have either service. Keep your iPhone.
Check with your local Kia dealer about your Optima having support for either feature, but I think the handwriting is on the wall and you have the wrong vehicle for the services sought.
I don't own this CarPURIDE product but it is a way to use CarPlay (or Android Auto) as an added accessory in a car that does not support CarPlay or Android Auto. There are flexible stalk tablet holders on Amazon that fit into a cup holder in a car and that might be one means of using this in your Optima. My 2011 Saab 9-5 does not support CarPlay and I use my M4 iPad Pro on the passenger seat instead.
