How to solve “Screen Recording failed to save due to: Failed due to asset writer failing to save”

The “Screen Recording failed to save due to: Failed due to asset writer failing to save” mostly happens while recording third-party apps such as Messenger, WeChat, etc, where you share the Microphone use.

To solve this, simply turn off the Microphone use by the Recorder by going to the Control Center:

1. In the control center, hold the "Record" button
2. Another screen will pop up where you can see "Microphone" at the bottom.
3. Turn the Microphone off. This will make your recording soundless.

Once turned off, new screen recordings should successfully save unless:

a. you have no storage left or

b. you have closed the apps you're using during the screen recording including "Photos" while the recording is being saved. Wait for the recording to be saved first.
