Mac Mini M2: Thunderbolt Display Mystery. Wakes on boot up, then wont wake up
Brand new Mac Mini M2 linked to 27" Thunderbolt display.
Thunderbolt display has converter for the Thunderbolt 2 to Thunderbolt 3 connecter. This continues to work perfectly with my Macbook Pro.
Here's the mystery.
The Thunderbolt display flashes on when the Mac Mini boots up. The resolution is wrong and the image is pixelated. The Thunderbolt display then sleeps.
Connecting another display to the HDMI port works perfectly.
Going into the display settings you can see the second Thunderbolt monitor connected!
I can move windows in the Thunderbolt display (but it still doesn't wake).
Removing the HDMI connected monitor does not wake the Thunderbolt monitor.
On one occasion pressing the Mac Mini power button when the Mac Mini was already booted up did wake the Thunderbolt display and it work until the next restart.
All OS updates have been done.
I'm close to sending the unit back to Apple.
