startup routine for brand new Mac mini M2

I just bought an M2 Mac mini. Plugging everything in, and turning it on, I received a screen with a white outline of what looks like a mouse and then a screen with what looks like a flat keyboard of some kind.

What do you do? I can't seem to enter any commands.

Mac mini, macOS 10.15

If you have a rechargeable Apple Magic Keyboard, you may need to plug it into a USB port on the Mac mini.

The cable connection serves not just to recharge the keyboard, but to let the keyboard act (temporarily) as a wired keyboard – and to let the Mac and keyboard pair with each other for subsequent wireless use.
