How do I get rid of this green checkmark?

Hello. I was on the Facebook app earlier on my phone and after leaving the app I have a green check mark at the top on my banner. It’s not the green dot that is usually used to show me my camera is on but a green check mark. I cleared the app and it won’t go away unless I’m back on facebook. Why is this happening and how do I stop it. You can see it at the very top in the image I added.
